Tadelak
Tadelak
Tadelak is a waterproof plaster used a lot in Morrocan architecture to make baths, sinks, water vessels, interior and exterior walls, ceilings, roofs and even floors. Tadelak is essentially made from lime plaster which is rammed, polished and treated with soap to make it waterproof and water repellant. Tadelak is highly durable. Since it is applied as a paste Tadelak has a soft, undulating character it can be used to form curves and is seamless in its finish . Pigment can be added to give it any colour you desire although in Morroco deep red is the traditional colour. Tadelak can have a shiny or matte finish to suit your individual design style and requirements.
Venetian Plaster
Venetian Plaster
Venetian plaster is a wall and ceiling finish consisting of plaster mixed with marble dust and then applied in multiple thin layers which are then burnished to create a smooth surface with depth and texture. When left unburnished, venetian plaster has a matte finish that is rough and stone like to the touch. Venetian plaster can be used to create a highly polished, marble like finish and it is especially useful on surfaces where marble panels could not be installed or a cost effective way compared to having surfaces carved from real marble such as columns and curved walls. Venetian plaster can be tinted or coloured using natural or synthetic colourants. The ability to tint means that you can create an individual creation of your own specified colour of marble effect.

Lime Plastering/ Rendering
Lime Plastering/ Rendering
Lime has been around for centuries as a good traditional building material and in more recent years proven to be really popular. Lime plasters are open and porous materials allowing vapours both in and out of the walls. This helps to stabilise the internal humidity of a building creating a more comfortable environment, reducing surface condensation and mould growth. Lime plaster is breathable and will allow moisture to pass through it thus a damp wall plastered with lime will breath and prevent a build up of moisture. Lime plaster is also flexible, as well as being naturally anti-fungal and bacteria repellent, making it ideal for older properties. It is also very strong, with lime mortars gradually achieving good compressive strength, allowing for movement.
Rendering
Rendering
This method is a sand & cement mix applied to exposed blockwork or brick which offers a good strong durable surface. This is a two coat application. The first is a scratch coat that will offer the second layer a good surface to bond to. The second coat is then smoothed down or rubbed to a quality finish.
